Partnering with BPJS Employment, TPJK Malang City Holds Socialization on Improving K3 Culture

Starfruit, MC – The Malang City Government Construction Services Development Team (TPJK) in collaboration with the Malang Branch of the Employment Social Security Administration (BPJS) held a Socialization of Improving Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Culture in Infrastructure Development in Malang City at the Paramount Room of the Atria Hotel, Malang, Wednesday (23/11).

Participants consisted of 110 people consisting of PPK (Commitment Making Officers) who handle construction work in Malang City, Heads of SKPD within the Malang City Government, members of the Malang City Government Construction Services Supervisory Team, as well as invitees from representatives of Construction Services providers in Malang City.

This socialization presented two speakers, namely the Head of Marketing for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Malang Sulistijo N. Wirjawan who presented material on the implementation of social security for workers in the construction services business sector and from the Manpower and Transmigration Service (Disnakertrans) of Malang City Ir. R. Malikus Prihantoro who presented material related to the K3 Management System in building construction.

Assistant for Development Administration of the Malang City Regional Secretariat Ir. Budi Herwanto, M.Si who read the speech of the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton said that several cases of accidents in the workplace are no longer a public secret. "Therefore, it is necessary to instill that occupational safety and health are the main needs of employees in carrying out their work activities, including in carrying out construction work," he explained.

Construction actors, he continued, both service providers and service users must truly understand the importance of K3. "Because work accidents can not only happen to workers, but can also happen to other parties who are not involved in the work," he added.

Through this activity, it is hoped that the material presented to the participants can be received and understood well so that later it can be disseminated and applied in all construction service companies in Malang City. (yon)
