The team first visited the village Glintung Goes Green (3G) to provide seed assistance to the surrounding community. Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji said that the land owned by the Glintung village must be expanded so that it can not only plant flowers but also plant other basic necessities such as chilies and other vegetables. "Moreover, currently inflation is occurring due to the soaring price of food," said Sutiaji.

The distribution of seeds in this village is very beneficial because the community can meet their food needs better, especially needs such as vegetables and so on.

On that occasion, Deputy Mayor Sutiaji also appreciated Kampung 3G for successfully bringing the good name of Malang City to the international arena. The Water Saving Movement (Gemar) innovation was included as an innovation recognized by the world in an international festival in Guangzhou, China. "Being able to bring the good name of Malang City means bringing the good name of Indonesia. I hope this can be improved again," he said.

Head of RW 23 Purwantoro Village, Bambang Irianto positively appreciated the seed assistance. According to him, the high inflation rate is largely due to the price of basic food items that continue to soar. "Residents get more value from this assistance and hopefully it will be an inspiration and motivation to be more active in planting various needs," said Bambang.

After providing assistance in Purwantoro Sub-district, the Malang City TPID then moved to the Petik Shopping Village (Belantik) in Merjosari Sub-district to hand over chili and red onion seeds.

In Belantik Village, Deputy Mayor Sutiaji hopes that the people in this village can plant more basic necessities. "The government really hopes that Belantik Village will be a model for planting organic vegetables," said Sutiaji.

Sutiaji also greatly appreciates the community's efforts in maximizing the narrow and limited land to plant various basic needs. "I really appreciate what the residents of Kampung Belantik have done," he added. (say/yon)
