Starfruit, MC – The success of Glintung Go Green Village (3G) which is located in Purwantoro Subdistrict, Blimbing District, Malang City, has entered the world's top five in Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation making RW 23 Purwantoro Village increasingly visited by guests to study. This was seen when students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Brawijaya University (UB) Malang specifically visited Kampung 3G, Thursday (15/12).
One of the FEB UB students, Salsabila Rizki confirmed that she and her friends visited Glintung to study. In accordance with her study program, she studied how ethical business in Glintung Village could be a model for business development in Indonesia.
"We learned a lot in Glintung Village, from the water saving movement to how to empower the community," explained Salsabila, Thursday (15/12).
Meanwhile, Head of RW 23 Bambang Irianto revealed, after successfully entering the top five in the 2016 Guangzou Award, Glintung is currently increasingly in demand. Almost every day there are always guests who specifically come and see Kampung 3G directly.
"Currently, a group of UB students are studying. Since two days ago, the Indonesian Ministry of Defense has specifically come to Glintung Village to see firsthand how this village is being moved," said Bambang.
The Indonesian Ministry of Defense is interested in studying Kampung 3G because on a small scale this village can demonstrate national defense based on mutual cooperation. He added that Kampung Glintung with limitations can be independent in various things including food security. (cah/yon)
