Klojen, MC – Cross-sectoral synergy continues to be improved by the Malang City Regional Revenue Service (Dispenda). In addition to actively coordinating with other SKPDs within the Malang City Government, the Malang City Dispenda is also actively collaborating with side ranks in efforts to increase Regional Original Income (PAD), enforce regional regulations, and realize accountability and transparency in public services.

Not only collaborating with the Malang District Attorney's Office and the Malang City Police, the Revenue Service, which will change its name to the Regional Tax Service Agency (BP2017D) in 2, also embraces the East Java Representative of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
This was marked by the signing of the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding_red) between Malang City Government and BPKP in the Malang City Hall Meeting Room, Monday (19/12). Head of BPKP East Java Representative, Agus Setianto was present in person on the occasion.
Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton also expressed his highest gratitude and appreciation to the Representative of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency of East Java Province for their cooperation in developing the performance management of the Malang City Government.
"I hope that this MoU can later function as a legal umbrella in carrying out official duties in the field of taxation," said the man who is often called Abah Anton.
Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of Malang City Dr. Idrus Achmad, M.Si emphasized that regional taxes play a major role and are an important component of regional development which ultimately leads to improving community welfare. Therefore, he considered this activity very important and appropriate to be implemented continuously.
"We hope that BPKP's guidance will continue to be sustainable, so that it will provide great benefits for increasing PAD in Malang City. In line with that, Dispenda must also continue to make innovative breakthroughs," he hoped.
The BPKP itself emphasized that this step is in line with Presidential Instruction Number 9 of 2014 which mandates BPKP as a companion in optimizing regional income.
Moreover, BPKP also has a Consultation Clinic for local governments that need assistance from BPKP. It is hoped that this can support transparent governance services in Malang City.
Meanwhile, the Head of the East Java BPKP Representative Office, Agus Setianto, explained that the highest level of assessment given by the Indonesian Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, to the Malang City Government Financial Report is real evidence that the Malang City Government has been able to bring about good governance.
"Quality and effective public service must be the main goal of regional government administration. That must also be reflected in regional financial accountability," Agus explained.
Synergy with BPKP is clearly not a new thing for the Malang City Government, especially the Dispenda. In fact, they have been recorded as having established an MoU since 2015. According to the Head of the Malang City Dispenda Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT, the form of cooperation with BPKP includes three things, starting from the tax audit module, tax audit assistance to Taxpayers (WP) and PNS audits who are regional tax officers as well as technical guidance (bimtek) on tax audits.
For the technical guidance entitled 'Increasing Regional Tax Revenue', the activity lasted for two days starting on Monday (19/12) in the Meeting Room of Malang City Hall and was attended by Dispenda employees. This technical guidance was indeed designed as an agenda to increase the capacity of regional tax service officers.
With resource person Gathut Sukopriyono SE, Ak, the material provided to the participants of the technical guidance included strategies for increasing PAD revenues as well as regional tax audit techniques and procedures.
"Through this technical guidance, special tricks are provided for collecting taxes so that it greatly supports efforts to optimize regional taxes in Malang City," said Ade.
Early next January, Dispenda has scheduled the signing of an MoU with the Malang District Attorney as the State Attorney. (say/yon)
