Breadfruit, MC – Coordination between the DPRD and the Mayor of Malang together with the Forkopimda, TNI-Polri, Religious Figures and Community Organizations (Three Pillars Plus) in the context of securing Christmas and New Year was held at the Ballroom of the Ijen Suite Hotel Malang, Wednesday (21/12).
Present at the event were the Forkopimda of Malang City, Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton, Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji, Religious Figures and Community Organizations in Malang City.
In his speech, Abah Anton, as the Mayor of Malang is usually called, stated that in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the 2016 Christmas celebrations and the New Year 2017, it is hoped that all components of society will always be ready.
No exception for members of the Malang City Forkompimda to continuously develop and strengthen readiness in facing the emergence of various potential vulnerabilities, both related to the provision of basic necessities for the community, transportation facilities, fuel, as well as public security and order, as well as natural disasters and other social vulnerabilities.
"These are the things that we need to pay attention to, observe and monitor continuously so that the potential for vulnerability can be handled well and does not develop into a problem that will actually disturb the community," said Abah Anton.
Abah Anton also expressed his hope that during the upcoming Christmas and New Year 2017 holidays, all related agencies can always monitor and supervise various things. Whether it is the movement of road flow, smoothness and safety of traffic, security and public order, availability and prices of basic necessities and fuel in the community, and so on. "Of course it is not enough to just monitor, but it must be accompanied by good coordination between us," he explained again.
In principle, continue to monitor second by second, minute by minute, especially in places that have the potential for vulnerability, and intensify communication with areas that have been mapped as disaster-prone areas, crowded places, dense traffic nodes, transportation routes, places of worship, and other public places.
"Carry out good coordination by optimizing existing communication facilities such as telephones, amateur radio, and social networks such as Twitter, BBM, and others so that synergy, integration, and togetherness are realized in realizing safety, security, order and smooth flow of homecoming and return flows, including various other community activities," added Abah Anton.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Malang City DPRD, Arief Wicaksono, said that by holding this coordination meeting, all members of the Malang City Forkopimda can close ranks to support each other for the security and order of Malang City during the Christmas and New Year holidays. "Likewise, the role of religious leaders and community leaders in Malang City will also always be needed.
