Klojen, MC – The success of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) cannot be separated from the role of the fighters of the Indonesian Veteran Legion (LVRI). Coinciding with the 60th anniversary of LVRI. The Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton attended the event at the Dharma Saba PEPABRI Building, Malang City. Thursday, (5/1).

In the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of LVRI. H. Moch. Anton conveyed a lot about the importance of remembering the history of the Indonesian nation. So that the Indonesian nation remains intact and strong. In this modern era, said H. Moch. Anton, the Indonesian nation must continue to ignite the fighting spirit of the fallen heroes.
Abah Anton, his nickname, expressed his joy in being able to meet with LVRI Malang City. Thanks to the role of the heroes, including LVRI, the Mayor can enjoy and serve until now.
"The spirit of patriotism and the values of the heroes' struggle must not die, they must remain etched in the hearts of all citizens of the Republic of Indonesia," explained Abah Anton
According to him, the spirit must be embedded especially the young generation, the spirit of the fighters must continue to burn. In order to bring this country to greater glory in various areas of life. The many influences from outside, make the nation's children increasingly weak in their sense of nationalism. So that it can affect various lives in Indonesia.
"The commemoration of the LVRI anniversary is very important. Because this is a historical milestone for the Indonesian nation. If in the past during the revolution, physical resistance against the colonizers. Veterans fought for life and death, now the young generation must continue it," he said.
A great nation, said Abah Anton, is a nation that appreciates the services of heroes, fighters and predecessors. A smart nation is a nation that can learn from what happened in the past. Then find the best solution to achieve success in the future.
"Through the knowledge that LVRI has, we can continue to provide guidance, encouragement and community service to support the success of development," Abah Anton hopes.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of LVRI Malang City, Lieutenant Colonel Pur. H. Dayat Suhendra said that the activity was a means of friendship between Veterans in Malang City and the Mayor.
"With this activity, we hope to further increase the synergy between LVRI and the Malang City government," said Dayat Suhendara.
