Starfruit, MC – Ahmad Romdhon, S.Pd was elected by acclamation as the Chairperson of the Executive Board of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Blimbing Branch Representative Council (MWC) of Malang City for the 2017-2022 service period, Malang City, Sunday (8/1).
The MWC NU Blimbing Conference held at the MWC NU Blimbing Office on Jl. Raden Intan No. 103, Polowijen Village, Blimbing District, Malang City was attended by approximately 350 people.
Present at this event were the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton. Deputy Chairman of the Malang City DPRD, Blimbing Sub-district Head, Chairman of the Malang City PCNU, Secretary General of the PKB, Chairman of the Rais Syuriyah MWC NU Blimbing, Mustasyar PC NU Malang City, Syuro Council, all NU branches throughout Malang City, representatives of GP Anshor Blimbing Sub-district, and also Representatives of Fatayat NU Blimbing.
KH Badruddin, representing Syuriyah NU, expressed his gratitude to all parties for their support for the current management. As stipulated in the Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART), in determining the Rais Syuriyah (Advisory Board_ed), figures are determined by figures called AHWA (Ahlul Halli Wal Aqdi).
"AHWA members consist of KH Affandi (Chairman), KH Syaifuddin Zuhri with members Prof. Dr. Nurul Murthado, Dr. Shulton, M.AP, KH Ubaidillah Fadli. The AHWA members deliberated and the result was to elect KH Syaifuddin Zuhri as Rais Syuriyah MWC NU Blimbing for the 2016-2022 period," he explained, Sunday (8/1).
In the election session for the Chairperson of Tanfidziyah (Executive Council_ed), all delegates from the branch administrators throughout the MWC NU Blimbing unanimously chose Ahmad Romdhon. To help the Rais Syuriyah and the Chairperson of Tanfidziyah form the management of the MWC NU Blimbing, a five-member formator team was formed. They are Ustaz Ibnu Hajar, Gus Mumtas Danial, Ustaz Hilmi, Ustaz Ghozali and H. Ahmad Fauzan.
The Chairman of the MWC NU Blimbing Conference Committee, Fauzan, SE, M.Si, also expressed his gratitude for the successful holding of this conference. He said that all the committees worked hard so that the event could run successfully and was purely a manifestation of love for NU.
"Before carrying out this activity, we have carried out various activities including a small preacher competition and also the inauguration of the NU Blimbing management," explained Fauzan.
He also hopes that NU will be more compact and in the future will be even more extraordinary. "Thank you to all of you who have helped this activity so that it can run well," he added.
Rais Syuriyah NU Blimbing KH Affandi said that PCNU Malang City already has various programs, and in the future it can be even bigger. For the implementation of long-term programs, PCNU Malang City wants to have a hospital. According to him, so far in Malang City there is still no hospital, and of course it will make it easier for NU people who will seek treatment.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, hopes that the MWC NU Blimbing will continue to strive to advance the activities of the Muslim community for the benefit of the community. The Mayor of Malang, who is familiarly called Abah Anton, emphasized that what must be strengthened is the foundation first.
"Currently, there are still many people who still miscommunicate NU to advance Malang City because of the lack of information related to the vision and mission. This must be fixed again," said Abah Anton. (cah/yon)
