Mayor Inaugurates Malang City Saber Pungli Task Force Team

Klojen, MC – Malang Mayor H. Moch Anton, inaugurated the Clean Sweep Task Force Team for Illegal Levies or the Saber Pungli Team, Monday (9/1) in the Meeting Room of Malang City Hall. The inaugurated team consists of 45 members from various elements including elements of the Government, Police, TNI and Academics who are included in the team that aims to eradicate the practice of illegal levies.

The inauguration was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Drs. Sutiaji, Chairman of the Malang City DPRD Arief Wicaksono, Malang City Police Chief AKBP Decky Hendarsono, Malang City Regional Secretary Dr. Idrus, and several heads of Regional Work Units (SKPD).

The inauguration of the Saber Pungli Team (TSP) is a follow-up to President Joko Widodo's efforts to combat illegal levies. Because the extortion is very disturbing to the community. The team's task is to dig up information and report it to the government and follow up in accordance with the regulations set.

H. Moch. Anton in his speech emphasized that good governance is very important in the development of Malang City. So that the Saber Pungli Team is a mandate and trust from the community to realize a clean and professional government. In addition, it is also to achieve the ideals of development and optimization of public services can be carried out and realized properly.

"The extortion culture that has been going on so far must be immediately eradicated. Because clean leadership will have a positive impact on the growth of a healthy economy," explained Abah Anton, the nickname of the Mayor of Malang.

"The culture of extortion that can be a factor of gratification must be immediately eliminated. The Saber Pungli Team must be able to do it," said Abah Anton.

Abah Anton also appealed to the public to report to the government if they find extortion practices. So that from the report, the government can immediately follow up with the Saber Pungli Team. (say/ram)
