Starfruit, MC – Commander of Kodam V/Brawijaya Major General TNI I Made Sukadana did not prohibit his staff from participating in providing national defense training. In the TNI Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), there is no prohibition for the TNI to provide material on national defense to anyone.
This was explained regarding the national defense training on January 5-6 in Lebak, Banten. Actually, there is no prohibition for anyone to participate in national defense training, but there are procedures that must be followed.
Every time a national defense training is held, it must go through the appropriate permits and be known to the TNI ranks, such as from the Danramil level to the TNI Commander. This is to monitor the implementation of the national defense training whether it is in accordance with the established rules.
At least that was what the Commander of the V/Brawijaya Military Command said on Wednesday (11/01) after visiting one of the Presidential Advisory Council (Watimpres) KH Hasyim Muzadi at Lavalette Hospital in Malang City. He added that the TNI would be happy and would express gratitude if there were parties willing to hold national defense training.
"This national defense training is not only intended for certain groups, but anyone, any organization and agency is allowed to hold training. In fact, this national defense is very important and needed to instill nationalism and deepen national insight, especially for young people," added Maj. Gen. Sukadana. (say/yon)
