Satpol PP Raid Again, Ten Students Who Skipped School

Klojen, MC – The Malang City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) again conducted a raid on school students who skipped school, Thursday (12/1). In this raid, ten students were caught who were at an internet cafe (warnet) during school hours.

Head of Operation and Control Section of Public Order and Security Sector of Satpol PP Malang City, Drs. Soni Purwanto said that this raid was conducted twice a week. The goal is so that students in Malang City no longer skip school during class hours.

"We conduct this raid twice a week, so that no more students skip school. This is to provide a deterrent effect to students so that they are not outside of school during class hours," he said.

Students caught in the raid were immediately taken by officers to the Satpol PP Office for data collection. They also wrote and signed a statement not to repeat similar actions in the future.

"Students who skip school have violated Regional Regulation No. 2 of 2012 concerning Public Order and the Environment. They will receive a stern warning, and if they repeat the violation, they will receive sanctions according to the regulation," explained Soni.

In this raid, one of the students was also caught in the raid because she was caught in an internet cafe during class hours. In fact, the teacher who heard that his student was caught in the raid immediately came to the Satpol PP Office to pick up his student. 

"Some were picked up by school teachers and some were picked up by their parents. The students caught in the raid have signed a statement not to repeat their actions," said Soni.

For internet cafe entrepreneurs, Satpol PP Malang City also reminded not to make closed cubicles, because it could be misused especially for school students. (say/yon)
