In addition to launching the Tax Payable Notification Letter (SPPT) for Land and Building Tax (PBB), the 2017 Tax Role Model Festival to be held at Malang City Hall today, Monday (16/1) will also feature the launching of the Regional Tax Service Car. It is hoped that this facility will be able to improve excellent service to the public to fulfill their tax obligations.

Besides the series of PBB launches and payments on the spot, yesterday, Sunday (15/1) the signing of the MoU between BP2D Malang City and the Malang District Attorney's Office in order to increase PAD revenue from the regional tax sector. Previously, both parties had actively synergized to realize a prime service system in accordance with the vision and mission carried by the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton.

"Indeed, we expect all levels of SKPD to improve their performance in serving the public and support from all parties in carrying out their duties to realize the Malang City Government as a Dignified City, a clean government with fair, measurable and accountable public service quality," said Abah Anton, as the Mayor of Malang is familiarly called, Sunday (15/01)

The number one person in the Malang City Government appreciates and fully supports the rapid action efforts carried out by BP2D Malang City through its programs. "In bureaucratic reform, it is required to organize a good, effective and efficient government system, so that it can serve the community appropriately, quickly and professionally," he explained.

For people who want to take advantage of the opportunity to pay PBB on site, today Monday (16/1) can come directly to the Malang City Hall by bringing proof of payment of PBB the previous year. "With this initial launch, it is hoped that the community can immediately pay PBB so that they can take advantage of the opportunity for other needs, such as transfer of land & building rights, and others," said the Head of BP2D Malang City, Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT.

Not only that, this occasion also marked the start of the Program Sunset Policy II and the program to reduce the principal of PBB determination for farmers starting from January 16 to April 17, 2017. This policy is also a 'sweet gift' for the residents of Malang City to welcome its 103rd anniversary in April.

"As an implementation of the programs and activities of Abah Anton's policy which really cares about the little people, we...launching Sunset Policy Volume II to ease the burden on the community. The term is whitening because there is an exemption from administrative sanctions for PBB arrears for the tax period up to 2012. The focus of BP2D is to provide relief, especially for the little people, including farmers," continued Ade.

Later, those who want to take advantage of the Sunset Policy II program at Malang City Hall will also be served from 08.00 to 12.00 WIB. For the next day, you can come to the Malang City BP2D Office at the Block Office (Integrated Office) located in the Kedungkandang area.

Menurut frontman d'Kross Community, after the Sunset Policy Program in 2016, the recorded tax receivables of Rp 110 billion have shrunk to less than Rp 80 billion. This, said the former Head of Public Relations of the Malang City Government, is a sign that more and more taxpayers are fulfilling their tax obligations.

"We group them into two groups. Conventional defaulters will be given amnesty. After following the Sunset Policy, they will become 'new' taxpayers and in the future will be more loyal and disciplined in paying taxes. The second group, namely the farmer group who received a fairly large tax relief," said the alumni of Gajah Mada University (UGM).

The national youth figure who is also known as a musician explained that currently there are around 860 hectares of productive agricultural land that must be protected by the local government. Therefore, farmers are motivated to continue working their land through regional tax relief. Thus, the Malang City Government hopes that no land will be sold to be used for housing.

In addition, according to Ade, the relief of PBB withdrawals from farmers is an effort by the city government to ensure food security in Malang City remains good. He explained that the Malang City Agriculture Service has data related to farmer groups that work on 860 hectares of land in Malang City. These farmers will later receive PBB relief.

However, Ade said that PBB from farmers will not be included in the Sunset Policy II target projection. Conventional defaulters will be the main WP target for the socialization of this program. According to him, the target Sunset Policy II must exceed similar programs volume one.

"If last year we targeted Rp 500 million and could reach Rp 1,5 billion. So it is hoped that Sunset Policy II can be more than the achievement of the first Sunset Policy," said Sam Ade d'Kross, his nickname. (say/yon)
