Klojen, MC - The Malang City Regional Tax Service Agency (BP2D) launched the Land and Building Tax (PBB) Tax Payable Notification Letter (SPPT), Sunset Policy Phase II, granting a reduction in the principal of PBB determination to farmers, and signing the MoU. (Memorandum of Understanding_red) with the Malang District Attorney's Office by the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton at Malang City Hall, Monday (16/1).
Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton accompanied by the Head of the Malang City PKK Team (TP) Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani or commonly called Umi Farida also took the time to pay her 2017 PBB SPPT at the Bank Jatim mobile cash car provided at the event location.
Also present at the event were the Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji along with the Forkopimda of Malang City, Heads of SKPD, and school principals within the Malang City Government.
In his speech, the Mayor of Malang, who is familiarly called Abah Anton, said that one of the elements in the reform agenda is the implementation of a decentralization system. Through the implementation of this system, it is hoped that regions will be able to organize and manage their households with the aim of increasing the standard of living of people in the regions and creating a better regional government system.
"Therefore, it is the government's obligation to improve the welfare of the community. One way is by increasing local revenue (PAD), including by boosting the tax sector, including PBB," said Abah.
Regional taxes are one source of revenue used to finance various development projects. Thus it is clear that the role of tax revenue for a region is very dominant in supporting the running of government and financing development.
"Therefore, through Malang City Regional Regulation No. 7 of 2015 concerning Amendments to Regional Regulation No. 11 of 2011 concerning Urban Land and Building Tax, it is hoped that the public will have a high awareness to pay land and building tax on time in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," he added.
"Along with that, the tax role model celebration held today is a positive and constructive activity that is expected to be a vehicle to provide an example to the community. Marked by the payment of Land and Building Tax by officials in the Malang City Government environment in order to foster a tax-conscious culture in the community," explained the man who is also a sugar cane molasses entrepreneur.
Moreover, with the Sunset Policy program that will provide exemption from PBB arrears fines and a program to provide a reduction in the principal of PBB provisions to farmers, all of this is aimed at achieving ease for the community in paying taxes. The hope is to provide motivation for the community to pay taxes voluntarily and consciously as an actualization of the spirit of mutual cooperation or solidarity to build the regional economy.
