Sunset Policy II Program Gets Positive Appreciation

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Officially in-launching at Malang City Hall on Monday (16/1), Program Sunset Policy II can now be followed directly by all Urban PBB Taxpayers (WP). Only running until April 16, the public is urged to immediately take advantage of the Program Sunset Policy as good as possible.
The public asked the BP2D officers of Malang City

Through Sunset Policy, Urban PBB taxpayers will receive relief in the form of elimination of administrative sanctions or fines for late payment of PBB that has not been paid in the period between 1994 and 2012.

"We still hope that the public will take advantage of this opportunity as best they can. For Urban PBB Taxpayers who have not fulfilled their tax obligations, do not waste time while the Program is still open. Sunset Policy "continue to run for the next three months," said the Head of the Regional Tax Service Agency (BP2D) of Malang City, Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT, Friday (20/1)

In addition to being a sweet 'gift' ahead of the 103rd Anniversary Celebration of Malang City in April, the program which is based on Malang Mayor Regulation Number 7 of 2016 is the embodiment of the Malang City Government's great mission, namely Caring for the Little People.

The reality on the ground shows that many small communities have been in arrears with PBB since the 90s and have difficulty paying a fine of two percent per month.

"As an implementation of the programs and activities of the policies of Abah Anton (the nickname for the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton_ed) who really cares about the little people, we...Launching Sunset Policy volume two to ease the burden on society, especially for the little people. Including farmers," Ade continued.

To apply Sunset Policy, taxpayers simply come to the BP2D office of Malang City to submit an application for the removal of administrative sanctions to the officer at the special service counter by attaching an application form, SPPT PBB and a photocopy of identity. More information about the Program Sunset Policy can contact the telephone number (0341) 751532 or come directly to the BP2D Malang City service counter at Building B Integrated Office Jl. Mayjend Sungkono, Kedungkandang Malang City.

Sunset Policy The first volume itself was a huge success. From the target of Rp 1 billion that was set, the submissions collected reached Rp 1,591 billion from 1.213 tax objects on the closing day. This is certainly an indicator as well as a real parameter that this program was enthusiastically welcomed by the community. Ade also hopes that the target of the Program Sunset Policy II must exceed similar programs of previous editions.

"If in 2016 our target was IDR 500 million and we were able to reach more than IDR 1,5 billion, then it is hoped that... Sunset Policy volume two could be more than achieved Sunset Policy I," added the former Head of Public Relations for Malang City Government.

Apart from increasing regional tax revenues in real terms, Sunset Policy also proven to increase the potential of PBB revenue in the future, because this policy stimulates asset owners to take advantage of the tax relief period. The implication is that assets that have been ownerless become known to their owners.

Add more, Sunset Policy This also gives new awareness to the public so that they do not need to cover up or keep their asset ownership secret from the reach of the tax agency. Because in the end, the amount of payment will accumulate along with the fine.

"That way, if up to now there are still many taxpayers whose addresses and tax objects are not monitored, now they can be tracked so that in the following years they will become active and tax-compliant taxpayers," said Sam Ade d'Kross, the nickname of the man who is also known as a youth and sports figure.

The rapid movement of BP2D Malang City in early 2017 did not escape the attention of the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, who from the beginning fully supported the intensification and extensification efforts of the SKPD, which was previously called the Regional Revenue Service (Dispenda). "I appreciate the breakthrough steps taken by BP2D, one of which is realized in the program Sunset Policy" said Abah Anton.

"There are several things that must be achieved from this program, namely strengthening the tax database, increasing tax capacity proportionally, stimulus for economic growth and increasing tax participation which will of course result in increasing Regional Original Income," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Commission B of the Malang City DPRD, Abdul Hakim, is optimistic that Sunset Policy II will follow the success of its first edition. Moreover, according to him, the target of implementing this policy is right on target.

"Especially the benefits for the little people will be very much felt. Pro-people policies and programs like this are important to be continuously promoted by the Malang City Government," said the PDI Perjuangan politician. (say/yon)
