Minister Khofifah, while stopping at the Ki Ageng Gribig Mosque, revealed how to contribute to the success of PKH (Family Hope Program) in Malang City.

In accordance with the government's commitment, conveyed by Minister Khofifah in 2017 the government will disburse a subsidy (rastra) of Rp 3,96 trillion. That much rice is intended for 2.889.929 Beneficiary Families in East Java. "This rastra subsidy is the government's commitment to accelerate poverty alleviation," he explained, Monday (23/1).

The woman born in Surabaya, East Java added that the government's goal in distributing Rastra funds was to reduce household spending. This was done to meet the needs of the community in meeting food needs in the form of rice.

In addition to Rastra, the government also distributes non-cash food assistance. The difference between the two types of assistance is that for Rastra subsidies, beneficiaries must pay a ransom of Rp 1.600 per kilogram and receive assistance of 15 kilograms each month.

Meanwhile, for non-cash food assistance, beneficiary families are assisted with a monthly subsidy of Rp110.000. This assistance must be spent in the form of rice or other basic necessities.

"The Rp110.000 per month assistance can be spent on rice, either premium, medium or super rice. They choose rice, sugar, cooking oil as well as regular," explained Minister Khofifah.

On this occasion, the female alumni of Airlangga University also explained that in 2017 there were 14,3 million target households that would receive non-cash food assistance. Cooperation with various parties continues to be carried out so that this program runs well.

"Non-cash food assistance reaches 45 cities and six districts, while for rastra subsidies it reaches 463 districts/cities throughout Indonesia," he concluded. (cah/yon)
