Malang (malangkota.go.id) – PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk is collaborating with PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) to make it easier for people to buy ANTAM gold at all Post Offices in Indonesia. This was marked by a grand launching at the Malang Indonesian Post Office, Jl. Merdeka Selatan No.5, Kauman, Klojen District, Malang City, East Java, Monday (6/2).
On launching which was attended by the Mayor of Malang Moch. Anton, Deputy for Mining, Strategic Industry and Media Business Fajar Hari Sampurno, Deputy for Energy, Logistics and Transportation Business Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, President Director of Pos Indonesia Gilarsi W. Setijono, and President Director of ANTAM Tedy Badrujaman.
Gilarsi W. Setiojono said that the large number of Indonesian Post Office networks would make it easier for people to buy gold, whether at the Inspection Post Office, Branch Post Offices in the City or Outside the City.
"Buyers can place orders at the nearest Post Office. Orders are paid through the application and then the gold will be sent by ANTAM's Precious Metal Processing and Refining Business Unit (UBPP LM)," explained Gilarsi.
He added that this collaboration is based on the spirit of cooperation in several aspects, such as realizing synergy between State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in increasing revenue through new service businesses, forming a positive image of the Post Office which is already capable of handling shipments of goods in the following categories: valuable good (high value).
"As well as increasing the company's competitiveness with competitors and educating the public to invest by buying gold," he added.
Meanwhile, President Director of PT ANTAM Tedy Badrujaman said he was pleased to be able to cooperate with PT Pos Indonesia. The initiation of this cooperation is an effort by PT ANTAM to strengthen the marketing reach to consumers. "We are optimistic that by expanding sales distribution channels, it will increase the competitiveness of this business, especially in the gold commodity," explained Tedy.
The scope of cooperation between PT ANTAM and PT Pos Indonesia includes the provision of sales facilities, as well as payment and distribution of precious metal gold products at the Post Office.
Customers make gold purchases at the Post Office with an ordering system. Furthermore, PT ANTAM will use the Pos Indonesia service to send the ordered goods to the Post Office where the purchase was made. Currently, there are 109 Post Offices spread across Java, Madura, Bali, NTT, which is the first stage of the cooperation agreement with PT Antam. (cah/yon)
