BP2D Malang City Doesn't Want to Laze Around

Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Although it is still early in the year, there is no such thing as slacking off in the dictionary of the Malang City Regional Tax Service Agency (BP2D). The SKPD, formerly known as the Regional Revenue Service (Dispenda), immediately moved quickly and enthusiastically.
Malang City BP2D officers inspect billboards that have the potential to endanger road users.

One of the things that needs attention is advertising tax, because with various forms, media and types of installation spread across various corners of the city, it requires special attention from local tax officers to check the installed advertising materials.

In fact, in the field, billboards are still found to be inappropriate, damaged and potentially dangerous to the safety of road users. As found by the Malang City BP2D Advertising Task Force Team during an inspection to the Jl. Semeru area, Jl. LA Sucipto and five other points, on Wednesday (8/2).

For the 5x10 meter blank billboard located on Jl. Semeru, some parts of the zinc board have peeled off and are prone to falling onto the road. Moreover, the weather and strong winds that have recently hit Malang City can cause the material to fall onto the road at any time.

"For the safety of the public and road users, we have been instructed directly by Abah Anton (Mayor of Malang_ed) to immediately fix the billboard. Don't wait until there are victims before acting or later they will shift responsibility to each other," said Head of BP2D Malang City Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT.

Not much different, the BP2D Advertising Task Force Team also found unsuitable conditions when reviewing the billboard on Jl. LA Sucipto. Conditions in the field, the supporting pole of a property company's billboard measuring 1x2 meters was fragile so that the potential to endanger road users was even higher.

"For that, we contacted the billboard owner to respond quickly. We will also move quickly by immediately repairing it or if it is considered very dangerous, we will immediately cut and remove the billboard after coordinating with the owner before unwanted things happen," said Sam Ade d'Kross, his nickname.

The other five points that were fixed by the Malang City BP2D Advertising Task Force Team include the Jl. A. Yani area, in front of the old PDAM Office, the Sabilillah Mosque Pedestrian Bridge, Jl. A. Yani Utara, and on Jl. Letjend S. Parman.

The former Head of Public Relations of the Malang City Regional Secretariat ensured that his party would continue to prioritize cross-sectoral coordination and related ranks in responding to this problem. The billboard owner has also been contacted so that repairs can be made immediately.

If the licensing and installation contain elements of violation of regional regulations, then it will be the domain of other SKPDs in charge to take further action.

Meanwhile, Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton emphasized the importance of regulating inappropriate, damaged and potentially dangerous advertisements for road users in the Malang City area. "The tax is educational, not just talking about how much money can be paid to the state, but also teaching the meaning of order. Like advertisements, don't just put them up without paying attention to the environment," said the number one person in the Malang City Government.

"So there are many aspects that must be considered. Including those that have the potential to endanger safety must be regulated and immediately repaired," he said. (say/yon)
