Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton in his speech said that Malang is the second largest city in East Java after Surabaya. Various developments have been carried out by the government with the aim of improving the welfare of the people.
The Mayor of Malang, who is familiarly called Abah Anton, revealed the presence of the Colorful Village, the Colorful Village Glintung Goes Green (3G), Kampung Tridi (3D) and other thematic villages are efforts by the Malang City Government to realize the model 'bottom up', namely appreciating community proposals to be made into policies.
Not only that, the development of Malang City, such as the restoration of parks, has also been supported by funds. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) so as not to burden the Malang City APBD. "Even Malang City has collaborated with Korea to realize it super city," said Father Anton.
In addition, Abah Anton also revealed waste management strategies through the Malang Waste Bank (BSM) program and other supporting programs. The success of Malang City in processing waste is what makes the Adipura award always achieved every year. "In addition to the waste problem, Malang City is currently also developing a master plan for the next 20 years," he added.
He added, in the field of traffic, Malang City has also won the Wahana Tata Nugraha (WTN) award from the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub). Therefore, the government continues to innovate and make breakthroughs to reduce congestion, one of which is by signing a memorandum of understanding for the construction of a monorail. "That is why the government continues to innovate and make breakthroughs so that development can run well," he said.
Meanwhile, Pesisir Barat Regent Agus Istiqlal, expressed his admiration for the development of Malang City. In fact, some of the successful ones will be adopted to be developed in his area.
After being received by the Mayor of Malang in the Malang City Hall Meeting Room, the Pesisir Barat Regency group immediately headed to the PKK Corner to see some of the programs and innovations that have been developed by the Malang City PKK TP.
