NU Malang City Management for the 2017-2022 Period Inaugurated

Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – The Mayor of Malang, H. Moch Anton, attended the Inauguration and Opening of the First Muskercab of the Nahdatul Ulama (NU) Malang City Branch Management for the 2017-2022 term at the Graha Building of the Malang State Polytechnic (Polinema), Saturday (18/2).

Malang City Police Chief AKBP Decky Hendarsono, Commander of the 0833 Malang City Military District Command Lt. Col. Arm. Aprianko Suseno, Chairman of the Malang City DPRD, Arief Wicaksono and the leaders of the Forkopimda were present at the inauguration ceremony.

The inauguration ceremony felt special, because several great NU figures such as Rais Aam PBNU KH. Ma'ruf Amin, Chairman of Tanfidziyah PWNU East Java KH Mutawakkil Alallah and several other big names were also present.

Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton in his speech hoped that PCNU Malang City could continue to develop by running the organization well. Various activities that have been designed and implemented are also expected to be a moment for consolidation, so that with a strong organization, it can produce maximum results.

"As a socio-religious organization, it is very natural that NU has played a role in supporting the progress of the Indonesian nation and society," said the man who is familiarly called Abah Anton.

Abah Anton also emphasized to the administrators of PCNU Malang City to continue to improve empowerment and always hone quality and competitive human resources. "What NU does is also in line with the ideals of Malang City of Dignity," he added.

In the inauguration of the PCNU Malang City management witnessed by hundreds of Nahdliyin residents, Abah Anton was confirmed as the organization's treasurer, while the Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji was inaugurated as Deputy Chairperson of the PCNU for the 2017-2022 term.

Rois Am PBNU KH. Ma'ruf Amin in his speech advised all the inaugurated administrators to be able to carry out their duties well. Because according to him, being a PCNU administrator carries a great responsibility that is not only related to the people, but also national responsibility.

"We must also uphold four principles, namely Islamic Brotherhood, National Brotherhood, Human Brotherhood and one important thing is Nahdliyah Brotherhood," said Kyai Ma'ruf.

On that occasion, Kyai Ma'ruf also reminded that there are many deviant schools of thought, so the presence of scholars is very much needed to straighten this out. "In addition, NU must also be innovative and creative in running the organization," said the man who also serves as the Chairman of the MUI.

The Head of Tanfidziah PWNU East Java KH. Mutawakkil Allallah hopes that PCNU Malang City can be an example of NU development in urban areas. "I am sure that Malang City can be an example of urban PCNU in East Java," said Kyai Mutawakkil.

PWNU East Java is optimistic that with the large number of intellectuals in Malang City and support from universities, and in line with the mission of PCNU, the hope of making Malang City a role model can be realized.

Meanwhile, related to the issue of education for Nahdliyin citizens, Director of Polinema Tundung Subali opens wide assistance to Nahdliyin citizens who want to pursue higher education. "We strongly support if there are NU citizens who want and desire to gain higher knowledge," said Tundung.

The Head of Tanfidizyah PCNU Malang City KH. Isroqunnajah also hopes that the inaugurated administrators will work together to make the program a success in the next five years. Several breakthroughs such as establishing companies and strengthening other economic bases are being attempted so that in the future PCNU can be useful for the community. (say/yon)
