Starfruit, MC – The Malang City Communication and Information Service (Kominfo) held a Regional Government Sectoral Statistical Data Management Guidance at the Savana Hotel & Convention Malang, Wednesday (8/3).

Zulkifli Amrizal said, according to the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Openness of Public Information, the public (public_RED) has the right to receive information. This is a new paradigm for the government and all citizens to be able to access information.
"This is the government's response to the public's right to know. But on the other hand, it raises concerns about misuse of information," said Zulkifli.
In the activity which was attended by 100 participants from all Regional Work Units (SKPD) within the Malang City Government, Zulkifi hopes that the Malang City Communication and Information Service can provide clear information to the public, especially in Malang City.
"Of course it must be in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. Therefore, the role of SKPD, especially the Statistics Division of Kominfo, must continue to strive to improve its capabilities so that they are more optimal," Zulkifli appealed.
Meanwhile, the Expert Staff for Law, Government and Politics of the Malang City Regional Secretariat Drs. Mulyono, M.Si said, in statistical regulations there are many things that must be developed, such as quality data integration.
"Thus, it will lead to a dignified Malang City in accordance with what the Malang City Government has aspired to all this time," concluded Mulyono. (cah/yon)
