HackFest 2017, Application Developer Competition Event

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton opened the BNI 46 HackFest 1'st Round Malang 2017 competition which was held at Digital Innovation Lounge (DiLo) Malang, Saturday (11/3). This event is the result of collaboration between BNI 46 with Malang Creative Fusion (MCF), STASION Community, and Malang City Government.

This competition is an activity or competition in creating applications/programs based on a specified theme or problem and the applications or systems created can be applied or used by related agencies in accordance with the use of the application.

Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton in his speech hoped that a competition like this could accommodate the creativity of the younger generation and become a place to prove the best work of Malang's youth.

The man who is familiarly called Abah Anton welcomed the existence of a competition like this. According to him, this competition can be a place for young people to show their creativity, and support the realization of Malang City as Smart City.

Dadang Setiabudi, one of the event committees, said that the BNI 46 HackFest 2017 competition is a competition to create applications or programs in a limited time, namely within 24 hours, which is done non-stop. "The applications that are built must provide solutions to government or community problems," explained Dadang, Saturday (11/3).

It is also expected that the applications created can be built on a basis financial technology (Fintech) which can facilitate and expedite national economic growth, especially supporting BNI operations and the banking world in general

"There are several application themes created by participants, namely business or E-commerce, public services, banking, and socio-culture," explained Dadang.

The number of participants who took part in the application developer competition (application developer) these 90 teams were then selected and became 50 teams with 150 members. (cah/yon)
