Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In order to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the government procurement process of goods/services, efforts are needed to create openness, transparency, accountability and healthy competition principles in the procurement process funded by the APBD (Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget_ed).

Following up on President Joko Widodo's direction that the implementation of government procurement of goods/services can take place quickly through e-Procurement, then the Malang City Government through the Goods/Services Procurement Services Section of the Malang City Regional Secretariat held Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for E-Catalogue and E-Purchasing for Commitment Making Officers (PPK) and Procurement Officers (PP) within the Malang City Government, Thursday (23/3).
The event held at the Grand Palace Hotel, Jl. Ade Irma Suryani No. 21, Malang was attended by 120 participants from Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within the Malang City Government. The speakers came from LKPP (Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute), namely M. Haris (Head of Market & Industry Research LKPP) and Eko Rinaldo Octavianus (Head of Research & Contract Sub-Directorate LKPP).
The technical guidance was opened with remarks from the Assistant for Economic Affairs of the Regional Secretariat of Malang City, Ir. Budi Herwanto, MT. He said that this activity was a strategic means to provide the same understanding to the participants, especially PPK and PP in the Malang City Government environment about e-Catalogue and e-Purchasing.
Through this understanding, it is hoped that all participants will be able to carry out the process. e-Purchasing in the procurement of goods and services in each OPD correctly and without violating the rules.
He added that so far the procurement sector of goods/services has always been considered vulnerable to corruption and budget misappropriation. This reality should really be a concern. For that, a real determination is needed to realize a Malang City Government that is free and clean from corruption.
"I advise all participants of the technical guidance to make the most of this opportunity. The various materials that will be delivered by the speakers must be truly understood, so that in the implementation in the field it does not violate the rules," he said. (say/yon)
