Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton attended the Ngembak Ghni (read: Geni_red) and Dharmasanti events which were part of the Nyepi Saka Warsa 1939 celebrations at Badut Temple, Malang, Wednesday (29/3).
In his speech, the Mayor of Malang, who is usually called Abah Anton by his residents, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Hindu community of Malang Raya, especially those in Malang City, because so far they have worked together to realize harmony between religious communities.
"This harmony is what gives birth to peace among religious communities. Peaceful regional conditions are a strong capital for the city government in realizing good development in accordance with the vision and mission," said the friendly man.
It was also said that the presence of the Malang City Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB) has also played a major role in maintaining religious harmony and maintaining peace and conduciveness together with the government and its supporting staff.
"The Malang City FKUB has succeeded in becoming a national role model because it has been successful in maintaining conduciveness and harmony between religious communities," added the PKB politician.
Not to forget, on that occasion Abah Anton also invited the community to strengthen the ties of friendship with the aim of making the unity and integrity of the nation even stronger.
"With this Nyepi Day, let us unite and join hands, in maintaining the harmony of the people and the Republic of Indonesia that we are proud of. Anything can be achieved with togetherness and solidarity," he said confidently. (say/yon)
