Jakarta (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City received another special gift on its 103rd anniversary. In April 2017, Malang City received two awards.

After previously receiving an award in the City Planning category at the 2017 Sindo Weekly Government Award on Monday (3/4), this time the Indonesian Child Protection Agency (LPAI) in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (Kemen PPPA) awarded the Kak Seto Award to the Malang City Government (Pemkot) for its dedication and sincerity in protecting Indonesian children.
"This surprise and a special award for Malang City, because I also did not know that there was an assessment process from LPAI. Only after coming and meeting with LPAI (Kak Seto_red), it was discovered that secretly NGO friends (Non Government Organization) "conducting observations on Malang City," explained the Mayor of Malang, who is familiarly called Abah Anton by his residents.
The dynamics of the development of parks in Malang City are considered capable of providing a healthy growth space for families and children.
The event, which was held on the 11th floor of the Ministry of PPPA Building, named the Malang City Government, South Tangerang City Government, Bali Provincial Government, the Indonesian Police, the DKI Jakarta Social Welfare Coordination and Activities Agency (BKKKS), and the Tahir Foundation as child-care institutions.
On this occasion, the Indonesian Minister of PPPA, Yohana Susana Yembise, also launched the National Movement for Children's Friends in order to welcome National Children's Day on July 23.
The child care award and the launch of the National Child Friend Movement mark exactly 47 years of Kak Seto's dedication as a Child Friend since 1970.
On this occasion, Kak Seto invited all government institutions, private institutions, government figures, officials, political officials and others to be able to become 'children's friends'.
The spirit of spreading the word and spirit of children's friends by Kak Seto will soon be poured onto the big screen with the same title, namely (Brother Batik) Children's Friends. (say/yon)
