Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – Deputy Governor of East Java Saifullah Yusuf invited religious scholars and interfaith figures to always unite and provide a correct understanding of religion so that in this modern era, society is not easily influenced by various issues that can divide unity.

Provocation or invitation to behave negatively can come from various aspects of life, and among them the most likely is through technological advances. "Therefore, I appeal to the public to be able to utilize technological advances such as the internet properly and correctly," appealed the man who is familiarly called Gus Ipul when attending a grand religious study in the Buring Village area, Kedungkandang District, Malang City, Sunday (9/4).
He added, one way to strengthen the foundation of the people's faith is to always and prioritize the salawat of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. "If so, then the people will always remember Allah and the Messenger so that they do not fall into various negative actions," he explained.
The same thing was also conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton. He said that ukhuwah or unity between religious communities must continue to be maintained at all times so that this country, especially Malang City, remains safe and conducive. "The public must continue to be vigilant with various invitations and threats to this nation, and should not be easily influenced by tempting promises," he said.
According to the man who is often called Abah Anton, the increasingly advanced flow of technology has a great opportunity to shape a person's mindset and lifestyle. Therefore, society should be smarter and more observant in responding to various issues or problems.
"As a progressive people, we should be wiser in living our lives in this life. Let's join hands with the ulama and the government in supporting all development programs. Thus, society will be better and prosperous in life," concluded Abah Anton. (say/yon)
