Nusantara Onthel Jamboree Returns to Malang City

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Thousands of cyclists bicycle from various regions participated in the 'Jambore Onthel Nusantara Doea' event which started in the area outside the Gajayana Stadium in Malang, Sunday (9/4).

The Jamboree, which was enlivened by a bicycle parade, was directly dispatched by the Regional Secretary of Malang City, Dr. Idrus Achmad, M.Si, together with the Head of the Youth and Sports Service (Dispora) of Malang City, Drs. Nuzul Nurcahyono.

Around five thousand 'onthelis' it passes the route from Gajayana Stadium to Jl. Kawi, then to the central area of ​​Malang City and finishes again at Gajayana Stadium which is approximately 17 kilometers away.

Regional Secretary of Malang City Drs. Idrus Achmad, M.Si said, this jamboree event is part of a series of events to commemorate the 103rd anniversary of Malang City. "This event is very positive, because it is a gathering place for cyclists bicycle in Indonesia," said Idrus. 

He added that the existence of a bicycle community bicycle, especially in Malang City, needs to be given support from Dispora so that they can channel their hobbies well. "In addition to being a hobby, it is also healthy and is included in recreational sports," he said. 

Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City Youth and Sports Agency, Nuzul Nurcahyono, said that his party has fully supported the Indonesian Old Bike Community (Kosti) of Malang City, which is a place for people to gather. 'onthelis'

"Dispora has collaborated with Kimia Farma for the development of Kosti. Various activities have also been carried out, including this jamboree," said Nuzul. 

Chairman of East Java Kosti, Purnomo Sugeng Raharjo, said that Malang City is a barometer in East Java because it has a large community and has successfully held a national jamboree for the second time. 

"We hope that there will be an event like this again next year, because the participants are not only from Java, but also from Kalimantan, Sumatra, Sulawesi and so on," said Purnomo. (say/yon)
