Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – Head of the Regional Tax Service Agency (BP2D) of Malang City, Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT appealed to the public who have not yet taken advantage of the Sunset Policy II program to hurry up. This is because the Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB) fine amnesty program will end this week.

"For Urban PBB Taxpayers who still have arrears and have not fulfilled their tax obligations, don't waste time while the Sunset Policy program is still running until the end of this week," he said, Monday (10/04)
By utilizing the Sunset Policy program, Urban PBB Taxpayers will receive relief in the form of elimination of administrative sanctions or fines for late payment of PBB that has not been paid until the period of 2012.
In addition to being a sweet gift for the 103rd anniversary of Malang City, the program which is based on Malang Mayor Regulation Number 7 of 2016 is the embodiment of the Malang City Government's great mission, namely Caring for the Little People.
The reality on the ground shows that many small communities have been in arrears with their PBB since the 1990s and have difficulty paying a fine of two percent per month.
To apply the Sunset Policy which officially ends on April 16, taxpayers simply need to come to the BP2D Office of Malang City to submit an application for the removal of administrative sanctions to the officer at the special service counter by attaching an application form, SPPT PBB and a photocopy of your identity. "Please come directly to our office. The service counter is open during working hours," continued Ade.
For further information regarding the Sunset Policy, you can contact (0341) 751532 or come directly to the BP2D service counter at Building B Integrated Office, Jalan Mayjend Sungkono, Kedungkandang, Malang City.
In addition to increasing real regional tax revenues, the Sunset Policy has also been proven to increase the potential for PBB revenues in the future. Because this policy stimulates asset owners to take advantage of the tax relief period. The implication is that assets that have been ownerless become known to their owners.
In addition, this Sunset Policy also provides new awareness to the public so that they do not need to cover up or keep their asset ownership secret from the reach of tax authorities. Because in the end, the amount of payment will accumulate along with the fines.
"That way, if so far there are still many taxpayers whose addresses and tax objects are not monitored, now they can be tracked so that in the following years they will become active and obedient taxpayers," said Sam Ade d'Kross, the nickname of the man who is also known as a youth and sports figure.
