Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The superior products of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of Malang City have succeeded in attracting attention in the international arena. This was seen when various superior products of Malang City SMEs participated in an exhibition entitled 'Mihas The Halal Market Place' held by the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, Malaysia on April 5-8, 2017.
The superior products from Malang City such as Vanssa Chocolate, and others attracted the attention of Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Sri Utama Dr. Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi. He also tasted the superior products and will make them as a treat for VIP guests who come to his office.
Head of the Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Office of Malang City Dra. Tri Widyani P., M.Si said that she greatly appreciated the participation of the business products in the international exhibition event. "This shows that the quality of MSME products is not inferior to those in other countries. So far, the Malang City Government through the Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Office has continued to strive to provide stimulus to business actors," she explained, Monday (10/4).
Yani, as he is familiarly called, added that his party already has a program for capital assistance for UMKM actors. There is also an UMKM clinic where novice entrepreneurs can consult to develop their businesses.
No less important, he continued, is the effort of the Cooperatives and SMEs Service which will facilitate product certification and also patent rights. "In the future, SME products must have certificates, and that shows their quality," he concluded. (say/yon)
