Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City Expo (MCE) 2017 held in the area outside Gajayana Stadium was officially opened by the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of Indonesia Drs. Anak Agung Gede Ngurah Puspayoga accompanied by the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton, Thursday (27/4). MCE which was held to enliven the 103rd Anniversary was held from yesterday, Thursday (27/4) to Sunday (30/4).

In his speech, the Mayor of Malang, who is familiarly called Abah Anton, said that economic growth in Malang City had reached 5,61 percent, which means it was above the average economic growth in East Java of 5,5 percent.
This condition shows that Malang City is able to contribute to economic growth on a regional scale in East Java and nationally. "The fairly high economic growth of Malang City is mostly contributed by the industrial and trade sectors," explained Abah Anton.
"This is certainly inseparable from the commitment of the Malang City Government to the development of the industrial and trade sectors which are implemented in various policies, including providing convenience in business or investment licensing, achieving a conducive business climate and various policies in encouraging regional exports," added the PKB politician.
Abah Anton also hopes event Malang City Expo 2017 can be a strategic activity in an effort to showcase various potentials from various regions that can provide business opportunities, especially in the fields of trade and services and provide space to promote the works of the nation's children in developing the real economic sector.
Meanwhile, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs AAGN Puspayoga expressed his appreciation to Malang City which already has many thematic villages. According to him, with the existence of the thematic villages, Malang City has marketing places for UMKM products that have been widely produced.
Minister Puspayoga also gave an illustration that the existence of cooperatives and SMEs is also important to note in order to achieve equal welfare for the community. "Financing for cooperatives and SMEs must be enjoyed by all levels of society, so that there is equality across all levels of society as expected by President Joko Widodo," he said.
On this occasion, the Smart Indonesia Card was also symbolically handed over by the Mayor of Malang accompanied by the Director General of PAUD and Dikmas of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. (say/yon)
