Cooperatives & Micro Business Office Socializes Legal Facilities for Micro Business Entities

Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Empowering micro businesses in Malang City to grow The Malang City Cooperative and Micro Business Service is increasingly making various breakthroughs. This time it is by providing education to micro business actors in Malang City through the Socialization of Improving Legal Facilities for Micro Business Entities at Hotel Montana 2 Malang, Tuesday (2/5).

Through this activity, the Malang City Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Service is determined to strengthen small businesses in Malang City so that all of them have legality, so that when the products they make are sold to the market, these products are able to compete with products from within the country and abroad.

Head of the Cooperatives and Micro Business Service of Malang City Dra. Tri Widyani Pangestuti, M.Si revealed, to develop micro business actors in Malang City, her party continues to make various efforts. Including by holding a socialization held for two days starting Tuesday (2/5) to Wednesday (3/5).

"Why are we doing this socialization? Because developing SMEs is a shared task for the sake of realizing community welfare. One of them is by developing small businesses," explained Yani, Tri Widyani's nickname, Tuesday (2/5).

The activity, which was attended by 100 participants of SMEs from various sub-districts in Malang City, is expected to be the basis for empowering small businesses in Malang City which are currently continuing to grow in extraordinary numbers. According to the latest data, in Malang City there are approximately 70.000 micro businesses.

"If this potential continues to be developed, I am sure that in the future, SMEs in Malang City will be more empowered and independent, both in developing their businesses and independence," he said confidently.

Yani added, the government without good cooperation with the community, in this case business actors who are members of micro businesses, of course its development will not run well. Therefore, he said synergy and collaboration with all parties must continue to be fostered and improved.

"We know that economic growth in Indonesia, especially in Malang City, has experienced quite rapid growth. This fact certainly has a significant impact on micro businesses themselves," he added.

As mandated by President Joko Widodo to develop the people's economy, Malang City continues to strive. The hope is that when facing the era of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and the free market era, small businesses will still be able to compete.

"From this reality, the local government in this case the Cooperatives Service continues to provide attention so that SMEs can be more resilient, developed and independent," said Yani.

Moreover, he added, the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton also cares a lot and gives extraordinary attention to small business actors to be able to develop. This reality must be utilized well by business actors, especially small businesses, to be encouraged to develop further.

This activity was filled by speakers who are competent in their fields, including those from the Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Service itself, legal experts, and also from academics.

The first day's material for the socialization activity raised the theme of the role of intellectual property in protecting the intellectual property of micro-enterprises, delivered by Elok Waziroh, STP, M.Si. The second material was delivered by Iwan Rizali from the Malang City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Agency (BPMPTSP) who delivered material on types of licensing services and procedures for managing licensing.

Meanwhile, speakers Chusnul Arifianti and Drs. Winarto, SH delivered material related to guidelines for providing food production and home industry certificates, including related to the form of business legal entities. (cah/yon)
