Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton led the Coordination Meeting (Rakor) to Build Synergy between the Government, Forkopimda (Regional Leadership Coordination Forum), Academics and Religious Figures in Realizing a Dignified Malang City held in the Meeting Room of Malang City Hall, Tuesday (16/5).

Present at this coordination meeting were Malang City Police Chief AKBP Hoirudin Hasibuan, Commander of Kodim 0833 Malang City Lieutenant Colonel Arm. Aprianko Suseno, Chairman of MUI Malang Baidlowi Muslich, academics and religious figures in Malang City.
In his remarks, the Mayor of Malang, who is familiarly called Abah Anton, said that this coordination meeting was held in order to synergize the steps between the Malang City Government and the Forkopimda, academics and religious figures to monitor and maintain conditions and developments in Malang City.
"Malang City has 63 universities, so it has the potential to increase the urban community entering Malang City, especially students and job seekers. Therefore, this meeting was held to coordinate the real situation in Malang City," explained Abah Anton.
300 thousand urban communities who entered Malang City, continued Abah Anton, caused Malang City to become a miniature of the archipelago because of the diversity of tribes, races and religions that entered Malang City.
"Of course, this will potentially give rise to conflict due to the diversity of differences, especially the customs and traditions held by immigrants and local residents," he added.
Abah Anton also hopes that academics from universities and religious figures in Malang City will play an active role in maintaining Malang City so that it remains conducive, which can start from their respective residential environments and campuses.
Malang City Police Chief AKBP Hoirudin Hasibuan on this occasion conveyed the security and order conditions in Malang City. "The highest crime rate in Malang City is in drug cases, then the second highest crime is in motorcycle theft cases, especially in the Lowokwaru area. This is because many students bring vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled, but are often negligent in supervising their vehicles," said AKBP Hoirudin.
He also stated that efforts to increase public trust in the Police must be increased again. According to him, in this era of democracy without public support and trust, it will be difficult to carry out the duties of the Police. (say/yon)
