Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Bhakti Ramadan event entitled 'Strengthen Faith, Raise Knowledge, Increase Good Deeds Towards a Dignified Arema Bhumi' initiated by the Aksara Tumapel Malang Foundation was held in the hall of the Malang City Regional Library and Archives Service, Sunday (28/5).

The event of breaking the fast together and giving donations to orphans and the poor was attended directly by the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton and entertained by storytellers from the Indonesian Storytelling Movement Community (Gendong). The event took place full of joy with a beautiful nuance of togetherness, love and concern for others.
Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton expressed his happiness for being able to attend this activity. According to him, activities like this are very good and good to be imitated by all elements in Malang City.
"While today is the blessed month, let's together increase our concern for others. Whoever wants to do charity to help others, Allah will surely give a manifold reward," said Abah Anton, as the Mayor of Malang is familiarly called, Sunday (28/5).
The increasing number of people who have concern to share with their less fortunate brothers and sisters, is expected by Abah Anton to bring blessings to Malang City. He emphasized that concern for others must continue to be ignited.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Aksara Tumapel Foundation, Liga Alam said that the breaking of the fast and giving of donations like this is an annual routine agenda to welcome the arrival of the Holy Month of Ramadan. This year, which is the 13th event, was attended by 300 orphans and the poor.
Liga explained that the children who attended this time came from five sub-districts in Malang City. They are foster children of the Aksara Tumapel Foundation who come from densely populated areas. "Those we provide assistance to are not from orphanages. Through this activity, we hope to be able to share happiness with orphans and the poor in Malang City," Liga hoped. (cah/yon)
