Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Sharing happiness with orphans in the blessed month of Ramadan, Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton gave donations to 6.000 orphans in Malang City, Sunday (18/6).
Present at the event held at the Baiduri Sepah Ballroom were the Deputy Governor of East Java Saifullah Yusuf, the Chairman of the Malang City DPRD, and the Head of OPD within the Malang City Government.
The Mayor of Malang, who is familiarly called Abah Anton, said that still being given sustenance, health, and long life is a happiness in itself. And as an expression of gratitude, it can be done by sharing pleasure and happiness, one of which is with orphans.
"In accordance with the guidance of the Prophet, the obligation to do charity is 2,5 percent of the wealth obtained. Alhamdulillah, my extended family's business is given smoothness. For that, it has become an obligation to pay zakat like today," explained Abah Anton, Sunday (18/6).
Abah Anton admitted that the provision of this assistance is a form of gratitude for the gifts that have been given by Allah SWT, one of which is still being given the gift of meeting the month of Ramadan. "Hopefully you will be given a long life so that you can meet the coming Ramadan," he said.
On this occasion, Abah Anton also invited all attendees to compete to increase their acts of worship in the Holy Month of Ramadan, because every act of worship in the month of Ramadan will be multiplied.
"If it is a sunnah charity, if it is done during the month of Ramadan, it will be rewarded like an obligatory charity. "For that reason, let's continue to increase charity and kindness," said Abah Anton. (cah/yon)
