Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Darul Jannah Mosque, Perum Tirta Aji Bakalan Krajan, Sukun District, became the destination of the Ramadan Safari of the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, Saturday night (18/6). In this Ramadan Safari, the Mayor of Malang, who is usually called Abah Anton, reiterated the importance of communication between leaders and residents.
"This must be done from the start, not only when there is an interest but must be directed to realize culture and habits, so that a sense of ownership and participation of residents in every development is built," he explained.
Such a communication strategy building makes Malang City increasingly prominent and becomes a national and international conversation. "The strength of togetherness is also what gave birth to Kampung Glintung Go Green (3G) which is already known internationally. Likewise with the birth of other thematic villages," added Abah Anton.
The relaxed and lively interaction after the Tarawih prayer became an opportunity for the Mayor of Malang to invite his residents to continue to color their village with various creativity and innovation.
"I must admit, approaching five years of my leadership, there are still many unfinished works. Like the village hotmix (asphalt) program, it has not been completed because the budget is limited and is divided for other programs. However, we are committed to completing all of that. And that requires the togetherness of the residents," explained the friendly man.
Answering questions from residents regarding achievements, the husband of Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani gave the answer, "I invite city residents to take the thoughts and logic of school children. They achieve achievements and get diplomas because of hard work, learning and success in the education process. Similarly, the presence of achievements for the City of Malang, is also given because of success in various developments. The Central Government and or the jury team will not and cannot possibly give a gift of achievement if the city is not running its development process. So that (achievement) is real proof that the development journey in the City of Malang is on track," he concluded. (say/yon)
