Malang (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor H. Moch Anton opened the 2017 Working Meeting of Kindergarten, Elementary and Junior High School Principals/State/Private Schools, Sunday (18/6). The activity attended by 460 school principals of all levels is an annual routine agenda held by the Malang City Education Office in this case the Educator and Education Personnel Development Division as the person in charge of the activity.
Head of the Malang City Education Office Dra. Zubaidah, MM in her report said that this working meeting is a forum to socialize policies, regulations and legislation issued by the government in this case the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.
"Not only will the policy socialization be given to the participants of this principal working meeting. In addition to socialization, in this activity, the steps and work programs of each educational institution unit, both at the kindergarten, elementary, and junior high school levels, will also be discussed together based on the regulations issued by the government," explained Zubaidah.
In the 2017 principal working meeting, the Education Office presented several competent speakers related to policies issued by the government. The speakers presented included those from the East Java Provincial Regional Personnel Agency, Expert Staff of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Inspectorate, Prosecutor's Office, Police, Malang City Education Council (DPKM), and academics.
Meanwhile, in his speech before officially opening the 2017 Principals' Working Meeting, Mayor H. Moch. Anton expressed his hope that through this activity, synergistic togetherness can be established to strengthen the education sector. Thus, it will provide more benefits through devotion that is oriented towards the applicable rules and regulations.
"As humans, it is natural to make mistakes and shortcomings, therefore this kind of activity needs to be carried out as a means to be more vigilant, more introspective in order to move forward better in the future. On behalf of myself and on behalf of the Malang City Government, I really appreciate this activity. This cannot be separated from the function of this activity as a means to improve self-competence, especially in providing educational services to the citizens of Malang City. The changes that occur need to be addressed and followed up," said the number one person in the Malang City Government.
Head of the Educator and Education Personnel Development Division of the Malang City Education Office Dra. Sri Sutrisnawati, M.KPd said that this work meeting was held with the aim of evaluating the performance of school principals during the 2016/2017 school year as well as a network of aspirations for the preparation of work programs in the following year.
