The event, which was initiated by the State Bank Association (Himbara), was attended by several figures such as member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Andreas Susetyo, Head of the Bank Indonesia Malang Representative Office Dudi Herawadi, Head of the Malang OJK Indra Kresna, and several other bank leaders.

On this occasion, Himbara also provided assistance to around 20 foundations as a form of love and concern during the month of Ramadan 2017.

Deputy Governor of East Java Syaifullah Yusuf appreciated the social activities carried out by Himbara this time, the aim of which was to ensure that aid could reach its target and that recipients could share in the joy of Eid al-Fitr. "There are also orphans who receive aid, and may the donors be glorified by Allah SWT," said Gus Ipul, the nickname of the Deputy Governor of East Java.

The friendly man emphasized that the role of banking, especially Bank Negara, greatly assisted economic growth in East Java. This, said Gus Ipul, is proven by the increase in banking assets to the realization of investment this year of up to 28 trillion.

"The role of Bank Negara is very good in improving the economy. We hope that in the future our people will put their money in the bank, because in East Java, the people's money that is still not saved in the bank or under the pillow is 500 trillion," he said.

Meanwhile, Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton also greatly appreciated Himbara's activities this time. According to the man who is familiarly called Abah Anton, social activities like this can be carried out by various groups who are capable, so that social problems can be resolved. "This event is very positive, because many of our people receive assistance," said Abah Anton.

Abah Anton also emphasized that so far the role of Bank Negara in Malang City has helped improve the economy of the community. "The economic growth rate in Malang City is very large with a very low inflation percentage, and that shows the role of all things including banking, especially state banks," he said. (say/yon)
