Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – The Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, once again held the Ramadan Safari agenda at the Manarul Islam Mosque located in Sawojajar Village, Kedungkandang District, Malang City, Tuesday (20/6).
The man who is familiarly called Abah Anton by Malang residents invited to always increase religious deeds at the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan. He hopes that everyone will remain steadfast in Islam to together bring prosperity to all residents of Malang City.
"From my family side, I do not have any bloodline of officials. It is an extraordinary gift that I can stand here as mayor," said Abah Anton to the residents present, Tuesday (20/6).
This achievement of success, said Abah Anton, is inseparable from the hard work of the family who are willing to live a life of simplicity. From various childhood experiences, his party tried to make various breakthroughs to build Malang City.
"Our program in an effort to improve services to the community continues to be carried out, including in the Sawojajar Subdistrict. Alhamdulillah Sawojajar has just won a championship (Village and Sub-district Competition at East Java Province Level_red)," he said.
With the gathering packaged in this Ramadan Safari, it is hoped that it will become a bridge to improve communication between regional leaders and their people, which is one of the keys to success in achieving success.
Manarul Islam Mosque, as told by the Chairman of the Malang Saleh Charity Foundation, Dr. Dwi Agus Sujimat, ST, MT, was established in 1989 which at that time was inaugurated by the Mayor of Malang, Soesamto. He also said that the presence of the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton this time was an extraordinary gift.
"The land area of the Manarul Islam Mosque is 4.000 square meters with a building area of 1.500 square meters. This mosque also has many activities. Starting from religious studies, orphanages, scholarships, assistance to the poor, to now developing the world of education through elementary madrasahs. Through this program, it is hoped that the Manarul Islam Mosque can bring more benefits to all people," he explained. (cah/yon)
