Deputy Mayor Sutiaji gives a sermon during the halalbihalal at FIA UB

Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji and UB Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Mohammad Bisri, MS were present at the event. In addition to halalbihalal, on this occasion the inauguration of the Baitul 'Alim Mosque which had been renovated was also carried out.

Dean of FIA UB, Prof. Dr. Bambang Supriono, MS in his speech expressed his gratitude to all parties who contributed to the success of the construction of the Baitul 'Alim Mosque, including FIA UB students, alumni, UB Chancellor, BRI, and all other parties.

"We deliberately brought Ustaz Sutiaji today to give a sermon. Actually, during last Ramadan, we wanted the deputy mayor (Sutiaji_ed) to give a sermon at FIA UB, but it could only be done now," said Bambang, Tuesday (4/7).

On behalf of all FIA UB leaders, Bambang also conveyed his sincere apologies for the mistakes made so far. The success of the inauguration of the FIA UB prayer room, according to him, cannot be separated from the togetherness of all parties on the UB campus and the community as a whole.

Initially, the Baitul 'Alim Mosque, which was established in 2007, was 10 x 10 meters in size. After being renovated, the Baitul 'Alim Mosque now has an area of 12 x 24 meters with two floors that can accommodate 300 to 350 people.

Meanwhile, Drs. Sutiaji in his sermon invited all attendees to further increase their faith and devotion to Allah SWT. He said that all human power and efforts can only be successfully achieved with the permission of Allah SWT. Therefore, Sutiaji invited all parties to be able to get closer to Allah SWT. (cah/yon)
