After the Lentera Kasih Association, Now the Association of Parents with Disabilities in Kedungkandang District is Inaugurated

Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id1) – After in Blimbing District (read also: Mayor of Malang Officially Inaugurates Lentera Kasih Association), Malang City Government re-established the Association of Parents of People with Disabilities in Kedungkandang District, Malang City, Friday morning (14/7).

The Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, held a halalbihalal with ASN of Kedungkandang District and members of the Mutiara Kasih association

The event was attended by the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton, Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani, and the Kedungkandang Forkopimca.

Kedungkandang Sub-district Head Drs. Pent Haryoto, MM officially confirmed the management of the Association of Parents of People with Disabilities “Mutiara Kasih” chaired by Dedik Zunaidy from Kota Lama Sub-district.

Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton expressed his appreciation to the management of the Mutiara Kasih Kedungkandang association who care about people with disabilities. "We must be aware and work together to accompany children with disabilities so that they can get their rights like other people in general," said the man who is familiarly called Abah Anton.

"I hope that the relevant OPD will immediately take concrete action to ensure proper and inclusive education for people with disabilities," he hoped.

Children with disabilities, he continued, must have the opportunity to obtain the same education as other children so that they can be accepted in the world of work in general.

Abah Anton also advised the sub-district heads and village heads throughout Kedungkandang District to also create space for the needs of children with disabilities in every sub-district and village work program.

Meanwhile, Theresia Tutik, a representative from the Bhakti Luhur Malang Foundation, said that Kedungkandang District is the second district in Malang City that has an association of parents with disabilities called 'Mutiara Kasih' to provide mental strengthening for companions of parents with disabilities.

"In Kedungkandang District there are 234 disabled people who need assistance. Of that number, 133 children have beenassessment to find out their needs," he said.

"This association was also established in order to provide counseling to parents with disabilities so that they can be more patient in caring for and guiding their children," explained Theresia. (say/yon)
