Of course, it is very beneficial for MMI, because the collection owned by MMI has now increased by 47 regional musical instruments from 35 mayors. Types of regional musical instruments such as sasando, gong, to rebana, and so on add to the collection at MMI.

MMI founder, Hengky Herwanto, said that with the addition of 47 instruments from various regions, the total museum collection now numbers around 23 thousand, including collections of vinyl records, cassettes, CDs and so on.

"Of course this is very helpful because with the increasing collection, MMI can become a tourist destination and have a positive impact on Malang City," he said, Monday (24/7).

MMI also appreciates the Malang City Government which has provided support, one of which is by facilitating the use of the Cendrawasih Building. "We hope to preserve the nation's culture including traditional musical instruments that have been donated to us," continued Hengky.

Meanwhile, Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton greatly appreciated the donation of musical instruments from 35 APEKSI member mayors for MMI. "On behalf of the Malang City Government, I greatly appreciate the donation of instruments from the mayors for MMI," said the man who is familiarly called Abah Anton when visiting MMI, Monday (24/7).

Abah Anton also hopes that with the presence of MMI, in addition to being able to boost tourist visits to Malang City, it will also contribute significantly to the growth and development of the music world in the country. (say/yon)
