Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – Still in the framework of implementing the Karang Werdha coaching to welcome the 2017 Malang City Level Karang Werdha Achievement Competition, the Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji provided various motivations to the elderly in the hall of Kedungkandang District, Malang City, Wednesday (26/7).

Sutiaji, who is also the Chairperson of the Regional Commission (Komda) for the Elderly of Malang City, advised the elderly to continue to instill feelings of happiness and enthusiasm in living their days. "Because by continuing to be happy, joyful, and enthusiastic, we will always be healthy, both physically and mentally," he explained.
He also hopes that the elderly can live healthily and get adequate health facilities. One of them is by utilizing the existence of the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) of the Malang City Government, especially for the elderly who live in the Kedungkandang District area.
"As the Chairperson of the Elderly Committee, I hope that the elderly, especially in the Kedungkandang District, can get quality health services, because it is located close to the RSUD (Malang City)," he hoped.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Karang Werdha Forum, Sulastri, said that the Kedungkandang District area has the highest number of elderly people than other areas in Malang City. "17 percent of Kedungkandang District residents are elderly," she told Deputy Mayor Sutiaji. (say/yon)
