Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Tips to encourage the growth of micro-enterprises in Malang City continue to be pushed. Various efforts are made so that the economic movement through micro-enterprises can experience a significant increase and benefit the community.

One of the efforts to boost the growth of micro businesses is by providing training to business actors engaged in it. That is what the Malang City Cooperative and Micro Business Service did by holding an activity called 'Capacity and Work Skills Development for Community Micro Businesses' at the Sahid Montana Dua Hotel, Tuesday (8/8).
The training, which was conducted for three days, from August 8 to August 10 2017, focused on training in patchwork and cloth painting.
Head of the Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Department of Malang City Dra. Tri Widyani P., M.Si opened the training activity. To the training participants, the woman who is familiarly called Yani revealed that the potential for micro businesses is very large, because Malang City is currently known as a Tourism City and also a City of Education.
Moreover, the achievement of the Adipura Kencana award in 2017 shows that Malang City has succeeded in cleanliness and urban environmental management, so it has great potential to attract tourists from within and outside the country.
"Malang is a tourist city and many tourists come here. Well, this is a great opportunity for small business people to develop their business," said Yani.
He explained that this training was carried out as an effort to empower micro businesses that are still far from expectations. The goal is, with the ideal of Malang as smart city can synergize with community economic empowerment programs.
"Training is not just about carrying out training and then finishing it, but the hope is that innovation and creativity will be born," he added.
Through this training, the Malang City Cooperatives and Micro Business Office also hopes that business actors can seize existing opportunities so that the growth of small businesses can have a positive impact on society. (say/yon)
