Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government through the Malang City Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (DPUPR) held a socialization of Human Resource Capacity Improvement with the theme 'Community Participatory Drainage System Arrangement' at the Grand Palace Hotel Malang, Thursday (10/8).
Head of SDA and Drainage Division of DPUPR Malang City Ir. Bambang Nugroho, MT, said that the synergy between DPUPR, the community, stakeholders, Community Information Group (KIM) and drainage activists will be able to minimize flooding and waterlogging that cause flooding in Malang City.
"Through the arrangement of the drainage system in Malang City, synergy is needed between the DPUPR and the community, stakeholders, KIM and drainage activists. Without the community, it will be difficult to handle flooding and waterlogging," said Bambang Nugroho in his speech.
The Head of DPUPR Malang City, Ir. Hadi Santoso, expressed the same thing. He said that efforts to organize drainage in Malang City by inviting the community to play an active role in helping the government in overcoming drainage problems are very necessary.
"There is no other way to handle it, it must be measured and precise as an effort to organize Drainage. We can take an example like the one in the Glintung area of Purwantoro Village. That is why we invite the community, stakeholders, entrepreneurs, KIM, students to work together in organizing the drainage system to be better without any puddles in Malang City," explained Soni, Hadi Santoso's nickname.
