Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Karang Taruna Kendedes, Polowijen Village, together with students participating in the Community Service Lecture (KPM) at Widyagama University, Malang, held a counseling activity on the dangers of narcotics for the young generation who will be the successors of the nation at the SoKresh Polowijen UMKM Training House, Sunday (13/8).

The activity, which was attended by teenagers in Polowijen Village, Blimbing District, presented two speakers, namely Dito Arief from the Branch Management Board (DPC) of Granat (National Anti-Narcotics Movement) Malang City and Widi Haryadi from the BNN (National Narcotics Agency) Malang City.
Dito explained the various types of drugs (narcotics and dangerous drugs/materials) circulating in Indonesia, including several new types of drugs such as flame which is more dangerous than cocaine. People who consume flame will look like a crazy person because of the effect that can make people look happy.
However, this only lasts temporarily, because after that the user (flame) will lose control and his emotions will explode suddenly like a madman.
Meanwhile, a resource person from the Malang City BNN, Widi Haryadi, explained more about various modes of drug distribution and the BNN's efforts in preventing and handling drug abuse.
On this occasion, Widi appealed to the public to participate in eradicating drug abuse by contacting the BNN on the telephone number (0341) 753377 if they see suspicious things related to drug abuse (narcotics, psychotropics and other addictive substances).
This anti-drug counseling activity is part of a series of activities of the KPM of Widyagama University, Malang.
"In this KPM in Polowijen, our campus sent two groups that were placed in four RW. Group 1 in RW 1 and 2, while Group 2 in RW 3 and 4," explained Ali Said, Head of Group II KPM Widyagama University.
Previously, the KPM Uwiga team had applied Appropriate Technology (TTG) in the form of creating automatic watering facilities in the Guava Garden managed by the community in RW 3, Polowijen Village.
Appreciation for the various works and community empowerment activities carried out by the KPM Uwiga Team in the Polowijen Village area was conveyed by the Chairperson of the Kendedes Youth Organization, Andri Basuki Rahmat.
