Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji advised the students to maintain the form of intelligence given by God to humans, namely spiritual intelligence, intellectual intelligence, and social intelligence.
This was conveyed by Sutiaji when he gave a national speech at an event introducing academic culture at the Faculty of Humanities, State Islamic University (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim (Maliki) Malang, Wednesday (16/8).
The initial intelligence that needs to be cultivated by every human being, according to Sutiaji, is spiritual intelligence. From that point, intellectual intelligence emerges which gives birth to social intelligence.
"We must maintain the three types of intelligence and not choose one. Don't just be intellectually intelligent but not spiritually intelligent and vice versa," said Sutiaji.
He explained that the three components of intelligence need to be maintained so that humans can live in the modern world with the era of information and fast technology. "We have experienced several phases, and now we are in the phase of the fast information era," he explained.
It is also said that every human being is basically a leader (caliph), because it is a gift from God. That is why Sutiaji advised the students to continue to develop themselves and their creativity.
"Because if we talk about competitors, it's not just here. But now our competitors are global, and students must prepare themselves for that," he concluded. (say/yon)
