Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – There are many ways for residents to commemorate the 72nd Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. One of them is by holding a healthy walk which in Malang City is carried out at various points.
The Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, on Sunday (20/8) morning, kicked off three healthy walking events, namely in RT 09, RW 02, Bumiayu Village, on Jalan Kolonel Sugiono Gang III, Mergosono Village and in the Bakalan Krajan Village area, Sukun District.
The Mayor of Malang, who is familiarly called Abah Anton, accompanied by the sub-district head, village head and local residents, sent off thousands of participants who were very enthusiastic about participating in the healthy walk event.
In his speech, Abah Anton advised residents to continue to increase their sense of nationalism, especially on the occasion of the 72nd Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.
"Our obligation as the next generation is to continue the struggle of the heroes by filling independence by participating in development," said Abah Anton.
The friendly man also invited residents to continue to increase their sense of unity and togetherness in order to create a conducive Malang City.
"Synergy between citizens and government needs to be fostered to realize sustainable development," he said. (say/yon)
