Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Department of Culture and Tourism (Disbudpar) will hold a Decorated Vehicle Parade on Sunday (27/8). This event is part of a series of events to commemorate the 72nd Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

Head of the Malang City Disbudpar Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, SH, M.Si said, in the Decorated Vehicle Parade, all participants will display their creations and innovations in decorating the cars used for the parade.
Participants are also required to wear red and white uniforms in accordance with the theme of the event which is intended to enliven the Commemoration of the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence Day.
"Participants come from Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), sub-districts, schools, banking circles and the general public," said Ida Ayu, Thursday (24/8).
The parade route itself starts at the Tugu Roundabout of Malang City Hall towards Jl. Kahuripan, then towards the Jl. Semeru area and finishes at the Brawijaya Museum on Jl. Ijen. Regarding the parade route, Ida said that the Disbudpar has coordinated with the Transportation Agency and the Police. "There have been more than 100 participants who have registered until today, and we predict the number will increase," he said.
With this activity, it is expected to be able to enliven the commemoration of the 72nd Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, as well as foster community participation in the activity. "We hope this event runs smoothly and can foster our sense of nationalism," he concluded. (say/yon)
