Jakarta (malangkota.go.id) – Another achievement was made by Malang City. This time, the Malang City Social Service (Dinsos) succeeded in making an achievement by receiving the National Level 'Data Verification and Validation' award from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs.
The award was presented directly by the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Khofifah Indar Parawansa to the Head of the Malang City Social Service Sri Wahyuningtyas and witnessed directly by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Puan Maharani at the Sahid Hotel Jakarta on August 24 in an event entitled the 2017 National Integrated Data Coordination Meeting.
Along with Malang City, Mojokerto City also received the same award in terms of data verification and validation for poor people in the region. It was recorded throughout Indonesia, only those two cities were considered by the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs to be very responsive in conducting data collection.
Head of the Malang City Social Service Dra. Sri Wahyuningtyas, M.Si said that this award could be achieved because the Ministry of Social Affairs assessed that Malang City was responsive in verifying and validating data on poor people.
The reason is, valid data will have a broad impact on the provision of assistance that has been disbursed by the Ministry of Social Affairs, be it Rasda or other assistance.
"Data validation is quite important, therefore I often remind the heads of departments and staff to continue verifying data on poor people," said the woman who is familiarly called Yuyun.
Yuyun said that she hopes that with this award, validation and verification performance will continue to be boosted so that accurate data related to the poor can be obtained.
"Hopefully with accurate data, the provision of assistance can be right on target, and the data will be a benchmark for making policies," he said. (say/yon)
