BP2D Continues to Maximize the Pick-up Service System

Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The significant achievements made until mid-August did not immediately make the Malang City Regional Tax Service Agency (BP2D) feel satisfied.

Residents of Bandulan Subdistrict are enthusiastic about making Urban PBB payments at the BP2D Malang City-Bank Jatim service booth

From the Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB) sector, current revenue has reached 96,44 percent. This means that from the target of Rp 56,86 billion imposed, the realization of revenue has reached Rp 54,8 billion.

In fact, this encouraging progress has further spurred the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) which was previously called the Malang City Regional Revenue Service (Dispenda) to be increasingly active in implementing a proactive system in implementing excellent service to the community.

As seen on Friday (25/8), convenience was obtained by residents of Bandulan Village, Sukun District, Malang City in making Urban PBB payments. Along with the bazaar event initiated by the Bandulan Village apparatus, since morning BP2D officers of Malang City in collaboration with Bank Jatim Malang Branch opened a PBB service and payment booth at the activity location.

"Through this kind of outreach system, we hope that the surrounding community, especially taxpayers, can take advantage of the opportunity as best they can while our team travels to each area of Malang City," said the Head of BP2D Malang City, Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT.

Although the PBB payment due date has passed because it ended on July 31, Ade appealed to the public to take advantage of this opportunity to reach out as best they could. The man who is familiarly called Sam Ade said that the administrative fine for late PBB payments of two percent per month could pile up if not paid immediately.

Sam Ade, who together with d'Kross has just launched his sixth album entitled 'Kembali Berpesta', also confirmed that this is an ongoing program promoted by the BP2D of Malang City in addition to other breakthroughs that have been carried out so far, such as: Tax Goes to Mall, Tax Goes to School, Tax Goes to Campus and Tax Goes to Village which will be launched in the near future.

BP2D itself is burdened with quite a heavy target this year. Referring to the Revised Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD-P) 2017, the target for regional cash receipts from the tax sector that must be achieved is Rp 352,5 billion or an increase of up to Rp 51,5 billion from the 2016 target.

"We are optimistic that we can meet the target. This means that we must work harder to carry out intensification and extensification steps, and continue to map out potential that can still be explored. We will continue to push various innovations and breakthroughs until the end of this year," said the musician who is also known as an Aremania figure.

Optimization of the outreach system has actually been intensified by BP2D by forming Technical Implementation Units (UPT) in each sub-district, starting from the Klojen, Blimbing, Lowokwaru, Sukun and Kedungkandang areas. The addition of UPT in five sub-districts does present various advantages in efforts to optimize excellent service and regional tax collection.

"By getting closer to the community, especially taxpayers, it allows our performance to be maximized. Among them are the ease in reaching taxpayers, recording new tax objects, and the potential to shorten the span of control of regional tax services," explained the Head of UPT Sukun BP2D Malang City, Ir. Yusita Pusparini, M.Sc.

This allows the service process related to regional taxes to not need to be carried out at the BP2D head office at the Block Office (Integrated Office) in the Arjowinangun area, but rather simply come to the nearest UPT office in each sub-district.

"So starting this August, the UPT has been fully operational in five sub-district offices spread across Malang City. Some of the roles of the head office can already be carried out in the UPT," added Yusita.

"For example, for Sukun residents who want to know information about regional taxation issues, including technical payments and related services, they can come directly to the Sukun UPT located at the Sukun District Office. Likewise for other UPTs located at the district offices of their respective areas," he said. (say/yon)
