
This working visit was received by the Assistant for Government and Social Welfare of the Malang City Regional Secretariat Drs. Abdul Malik, M.Si, while the guest group was led by Deputy Chairman I of the Bekasi City DPRD H. Edi, S.Sos and Deputy Chairman of Commission II of the Bekasi City DPRD Aryanto Hendrata, S.Pd.
Aryanto expressed his gratitude for the well-received working visit of the Bekasi City DPRD. On this occasion, there were many questions from the Bekasi City DPRD, especially regarding PDAM Malang City. Aryanto hopes that the innovation of the Malang City program may later be an inspiration for the Bekasi City DPRD in its performance.
Meanwhile, in his speech, Drs. Abdul Malik, M.Si expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the trust given by the Bekasi City DPRD which made Malang City the destination of this working visit.
He said, in relation to building a prime and quality service mechanism, the Malang City Government is implementing various kinds of clean water programs, including drinking water grants, SIM (System Information Management), information technology – distributed networking monitoring, energy efficiency and ZAMP (prime drinking water zone).
"It also needs to be conveyed that the Malang City Government has also carried out visioning workshop clean water and sanitation program for Malang City policy makers facilitated by Indonesia Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (IUWASH) East Java Regional Office. On the other hand, currently PDAM Malang City is conducting an online promo for installing new vertical meters for low-income people at a price of Rp. 550.000.
Meanwhile, for the general public (regular) it is Rp1.195.000 with a down payment of Rp595.000, the rest can be paid in six installments. The new installation program for low-income communities is an effort to support the 100-0-100 policy, namely fulfilling the community's need for drinking water bycover access to drinking water needs 100% in Malang City," explained Malik.
