Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The success of Kampung Glintung Go Green (3G) which managed to penetrate the top 15 out of 301 cities in the world in Guangzhou Award For Urban Innovation received appreciation from the event organizers.

Some delegates Guangzhou Award For Urban Innovation Organizing Committee will visit Kampung 3G to see firsthand the Water Saving Movement (Gemar) as a follow-up to the award activities that took place some time ago.
The delegation led by Liang Guoqian was received directly by the Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji, Head of RW 23 Purwantoro Village Bambang Irianto, and the Chancellor of Brawijaya University, M. Bisri in the Meeting Room of Malang City Hall, Thursday (7/9).
Deputy Mayor Sutiaji in his speech revealed that the existence of Kampung 3G has inspired several other cities in Indonesia and the world to do similar things.
Sutiaji explained that the success of Kampung 3G was the result of the hard work of the innovator, Bambang Irianto, who tried to overcome the flooding problem that often hit Glintung village when the rainy season came. In fact, at the beginning of the village's development, Bambang Irianto had received criticism from residents.
"However, thanks to the hard work and determination of the RW Chairman, finally Kampung 3G could become an innovation and make other RW heads in Indonesia envious," explained Sutiaji.
Cooperation between the community and universities, in this case Brawijaya University in making infiltration wells in the area received support from the Malang City Government. This, according to Sutiaji, is a good synergy shown by the government with community elements and other stakeholders.
"In the midst of our limited resources, namely ASN, the Malang City Government becomes a catalyst and mediator for all citizen ideas so that they can produce positive things," he said.
The collaboration pattern, continued Deputy Mayor Sutiaji, is part of the vision and mission of the Malang City Government in collecting community aspirations. As a result, after Kampung 3G was successful and became a pilot, various other thematic villages emerged that were born from community ideas and innovations with full government support.
"Malang City is not large, there are only 57 sub-districts and five districts, but we continue to optimize what is currently available with innovation and collaboration," he continued.
Meanwhile, the head of the delegation, Liang Guoqian, explained that his arrival in Malang City, especially in Kampung 3G, was to deepen information about the village innovation that has been recognized by the international community.
Later, in addition to deepening the information, the team from Guangzhou will also make a video of Kampung 3G which will later be used to campaign this good innovation to the Chinese Government and even the world community. "What Kampung 3G does can inspire other regions," said Liang.
In addition, Liang also appreciated Malang City which still maintains local arts and traditions well. Not only that, the education climate with 57 universities also received good appreciation. "Hopefully in the future there will be good and positive cooperation," he said. (say/yon)
